Let’s face it. There are only two things the Internet is really good for: and one of them is looking at pictures of cats. (The other is ordering food. What did you think we were going to say?) You know what’s even better? Pictures of cats wearing hats.
So, when this photo of a cat wearing a wizard hat brightened our Twitter feed, we went down the rabbit hole and discovered that there are entire Etsy shops dedicated to hand knit hats you can buy for your cat.

As we approach Spooky March (previously known as October), here’s a collection of fun hats for your cat to wear this holiday season. After all, why should dogs get all the Halloween costume fun?
Need a new hobby for fall? Go full cottagecore and take up knitting and make your own wizard hat for your cat following the patterns in this book. Or, make yourself a cat hat, complete with ears. Without the ears, it’d probably just be a regular hat, but what do we look like, a haberdasher?
Judgmental Cats Wearing Hats
Your cat is definitely going to love (read: hate) these.
1. French Beret Hat and Scarf, $17.99
This beret and scarf set complete with macarons is tres chic! Sacre bleu! Is someone else playing with my toys?
2. Strawberry Hat, $10.97
This is what happens when you look up the phrase “I’m very disappointing in you.” Need to try it yourself. We checked.
3. Witch Hat, $12
Your cat absolutely wants to watch Hocus Pocus with you every day from now until November 1st. Get them a spooky ensemble made in Salem, Massachusetts for the occasions.
4. Viking Hat, $17.99+
5. Royal Crown, $5
“You should see me in a crown.” Ok, well, we’ve done that now, Moriarty. What next? You want us to see you in a chicken outfit? How long is this game going to go on?
6. Wizard Hat, $15.99+
When it comes to spell casting, this tiny wizard is definitely more Merlin than Dumbledore. Order the wrong food one more time, Samantha, and I’m flying to Bermuda!
7. Thanksgiving Hat, $13.95
We’re not sure if this says pilgrim hat or Halloween was a month ago hat, but the look says, I definitely am about to pass out from all that turkey I just ate.
8. Pumpkin Hat, $14.50+
It’s time for pumpkin everything: pumpkin donuts, pumpkin beers… why not pumpkin cats? Pumpkin spice up your cat’s look with this cozy knit hat, perfect for sweater weather and don’t forget the mini knit PSL.
9. Chef Hat, $17.99
Chef Remy from Ratatouille better watch out, because there’s a new chef in town with much sharper teeth. And he’s just waiting to call people idiot sandwiches.
10. Devil Hat, $10.95
Reveal your cat’s true form by having her wear this horned red devil hat. Also works when you two are binge watching the entire new season of Lucifer.
11. Felt Wizard Hat, $9.97
When it’s too hot for knit, but she’s still got spells to do.
12. Graduation Costume, $17.99
You may not be able to graduate with your classmates, but at least your furry friend will be there while you wait for an administrator to mispronounce your name. Or perhaps your cat is graduating from…mouse catching academy? Whatever your feline’s achievements, they deserve to be celebrated in this graduation cap.
13. Santa Hat, $16.99
If it were up to your cat, you’d probably be getting coal in your stocking. Thankfully, the dog has an in with the real Santa.
14. Elf Costume, $14.99
Kitty the Elf knows it’s never too early to spread Christmas cheer loud enough for all to hear with this matching elf hat and scarf. It’ll get even louder when they knock over the tree!
15. Eggplant Hat, $13.99
This is literally the only photo of an eggplant we want showing up in our texts. Ok, ok, maybe Eggplant Parmesan. But that’s where we’re drawing the line!
