Looking to shop and support Black-owned brands? What about small businesses? How do you feel about doing both at once? Trick question. We always love a two-for-one deal.
To help you out, we’re sharing a roundup of a few of our favorite Black-owned Etsy shops. Whether you’re looking for press-on nails or cutting boards, here are some of the best stores to check out.
And our birthday is next month. Just in case you were wondering.
Black-Owned Etsy Shops To Check Out
1. Gabe Jade Accessories
Gabe Jade Accessories sells everything from colorful turbans and pocket squares to wedding neckties that all feature vibrant African prints. You can even get a matching dog bandana for your pup!
It’ll look so great on him. Until he goes for a roll in the mud…again.
2. Aquarian Thoughts
Nadirah B’s handmade jewelry shop, Aquarian Thoughts features all the jewelry items you could ever want. There are celestial rings and delicate hand bracelets, tiny earring studs and dainty hand chains.
She doesn’t reveal though whether or not she’s actually an Aquarius. How Aquarian of her!
3. Dorcas Creates
Freshen up your space with wall art from Dorcas Creates, a visual artist based in London. Her bold works celebrate Black women, and we celebrate her by suggesting you go buy some stuff from her Etsy shop. Subtle, we know.
4. Charmed Bath Body
Charmed Bath Body is a Black-owned vegan self care shop. Want to soak in some bath salts? They’ve got you. Looking forward to an evening face mask? Get one here!
Need a gift set for your neighbor’s half birthday? We’re not sure why you would, but order away.
5. Morning Joy Co.
If you find yourself looking for hostess or housewarming gifts at the last minute, take comfort in knowing that you’re not the only procrastinator in the world. But stop rummaging through your garage and just pick up some of the customizable cooking products from Morning Joy Co.
Here you can engrave a cutting board with a name, recipe, or special date. Just make sure you proofread your message. You don’t want a repeat of that “Happy Borfday” cake from last year.
6. Sidney Shanae Company
Everytime we paint our nails it looks like a five year old did it. Yes, both sides. Luckily, Sidney Shanae’s nail shop has plenty of pretty vegan nail designs you can press-on if you don’t have time to make it to the salon.
Or, if you’re too impatient to let your nails dry after the salon. So what if we like to have a snack every 50 minutes?
Available on Etsy.
7. Little Dot Studio
Unless you think looking for your bag on the baggage claim carousel is a good time, pick up one of the luggage tags from Little Dot Studio. Then, you can get to the fun part of the vacation. (Picking up the rental car.)
