We Tried Starbucks' New Chocolate Cream Cold Brew

On May 10, Starbucks' launched their menu items for Summer. We couldn’t resist doing a review of their new drink: the Chocolate Cream Cold Brew.

What Is the Chocolate Cream Cold Brew?

The base is cold brew (which, no, is not just iced coffee), and it's sweetened with vanilla syrup. The real kicker is the chocolate cold foam on top.

What Does It Taste Like?

The official Starbucks description states that the cold foam is "chocolaty," and we would have to agree with that phrasing.

The first sip was nice, with mellow chocolate undertones. Then the vanilla syrup came through more strongly than expected.

But, as we continued sipping, the already mild chocolate flavor became even more diluted. Overall, it's tasty, but not super chocolatey. We think adding a pump of mocha sauce might help.

How Many Calories Does It Have?

We don't generally care about calorie info, but if you're curious, the grande version of the Chocolate Cream Cold Brew has 250 calories.
